Product Description

Enjoy a secluded getaway amongst the beautiful West-Suffolk countryside. We have earmarked locations on our farm which are perfect for delivering tranquil settings and genuine back to nature experiences. With only one pod and over 1,000 acres to choose from this is an opportunity to really get away from it all.

The first location for 2012 is by the lake. Guests will enjoy seeing a wide range of birds on and around the water; and for keen fishermen it is stocked with some sizeable carp (permits are available). Receiving sun throughout the day, this is a perfect place for simply relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity.
When the ground has dried enough we will also be offering stays in the middle of a nearby wood.

Facilities:
This is not organised camping but rather a rustic, back to nature experience and accordingly facilities are basic. However, careful consideration has been taken to enable one to enjoy a genuine experience whilst maintaining relative levels of comfort.

Toilet and shower:
A utility tent with cassette toilet is provided for guests
We also provide a hot water system with tap and shower attachment (A lovely hot shower in the middle of a wood is quite an experience!)

Electricity:
The pod is equipped with leisure battery and 12v connection point inside. Therefore guests are welcome to bring equipment that can be attached to this.

Sleeping:
Inside the pod are two foldout mattresses. There is ample room to accommodate up to four people inside the pod using camping mattresses and so guests are welcome to bring their own.
We are also happy to accommodate tents alongside the pod (for a small pitching fee).

Activities:
Explore the woods and the farm (we provide walking maps of the farm)
Walk in the surrounding countryside (we are located on the Bury St. Edmunds to Clare walk and near to the Stour Valley path)
Have a campfire and a BBQ – perhaps cooking sausages or chops from the rare breed pigs reared on our farm, or wild venison from our woodlands
Fish for carp in the lake
Cycle the country lanes (maps are provided)
Visit a local pub for lunch or dinner (2 within walking distance)
Visit a nearby attraction such as Long Melford, Kentwell Hall or Lavenham
