The mature trees and shrubs in the neat grounds lead down to the River Severn. There is free fishing on the River Severn alongside the park, or day, weekly and season tickets available for 2 miles upstream, or on the adjoining Shropshire Union Canal. Fast water fishing includes Trout and Salmon and there are Grayling, Chubb and other coarse fish.
