Inver Caravan Park is a small, friendly STB**** Touring Park, which is listed with the Camping and Caravan Club, and is open all year. It is adjacent to the A9 just north of Dunbeath, Caithness, Scotland.
Inver Caravan Park welcomes all caravans, trailer tents, motorhomes of any size (even ones you have made yourself), tents, cars, vans, motorbikes, walkers and cyclists, children and dogs – pretty much everyone.
Facilities
We are licensed for 15 pitches and have 9 hard standings, with plenty of smooth grass for tents and for caravanners who prefer to park on grass. We have some surrounding trees for shelter, 14 electric hook-ups, mains water, dishwashing sinks, recycling facilities and a dump station for disposal of grey water and chemical toilet disposal. We have a beautiful new facilities block with 3 private unisex shower rooms with excellent showers, underfloor heating, automatic hand driers and shaver points, and 1 additional WC. We also have a washing machine, an excellent drying room with pulleys, which will dry your washing overnight, and a line to make use of the plentiful wind!. We also have Wifi for those who cannot be off-line for long – browse the internet or catch up on your emails from the comfort of your motor home or caravan!
Local area facilities
Inver Caravan Park is a few minutes walk from the SPAR shop, and from The Bay Owl Restaurant and pub.
The local beach, childrens play park and tennis court are also nearby, as are the excellent Dunbeath Heritage Centre and the Laidhay Croft Museum and Tearoom. Within easy reach are lovely walks up the Dunbeath Strath, and also a good vantage point from which to view puffins.
2 Holiday Caravans to Hire
Our 35ft x 12ft, 2 bedroom holiday caravan sleeps up to 6 people, in 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 full size {clik-clack} double sofabed in the living area. It has new double glazed windows, electric heating in all rooms, mains water (hot and cold), free-standing lounge and dining furniture, bathroom with shower, and colour television with Freeview.
Sheets, duvets and covers, pillows and cases, towels and mats for bathroom and kitchen, table mats and cloths, oven gloves, bin liners, kitchen roll and toilet rolls are all provided. There is a comprehensive range of kitchen equipment including a new stainless steel 3-burner gas hob, cooker hood, gas oven and grill, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster and electric whisk. Crockery and cutlery for 6 people, kitchen utensils and knives, bowls, casserole dishes, saucepans and frying pans, cooking oil, basic cleaning materials and a vacuum cleaner, are also provided.
There is a laundry in the Caravan Park, with an iron and ironing board.
From the main bedroom window there are views towards Dunbeath Bay, and from the west- facing lounge area are excellent views over Dunbeath Bay and our local mountain {Scaraben}. There is a designated parking place and a small lawn adjacent to the caravan.
There is no additional charge for electricity or gas.
Our second holiday caravan has similar facilities, and accommodation for 4 persons.
Bed and Breakfast
We can now offer Bed and Breakfast in our new house, Inver Park House. We have one double bedroom, one family room with a double and a singe bed, and one room with 3 single beds, useful for groups of friends. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and all have TVs, tea and coffee-making equipment, and Wifi capability at no extra cost. Breakfast is served in the sun lounge, from which we have brilliant views over the Moray Firth.
