LOCATION

Situated near the River Wharfe and part of the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Estate, our campsite is ingeniously terraced so that all visitors can take advantage of the breath taking views. The surrounding hills are typical of the Yorkshire Dales, with unspoilt greenery and dotted with traditional stone barns and the quiet bleating of sheep. There are plenty of charming villages just a stone’s throw away – the closest is Appletreewick which is just a short walk away with 2 country pubs to choose from where you can enjoy authentic Yorkshire fayre.

CAMPING

We are able to accommodate tents and caravans and offer both pitches with and without electric hook up and each pitch includes your own picnic bench so that you can enjoy the views whilst cooking up your campsite meals.

The site has a main modern shower and toilet block, a covered washing up area, and a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. There are also numerous smaller toilet and shower blocks dotted around the site for our visitor’s convenience.

If you would prefer a more luxurious stay, our timber lodges are just the thing for you! Sleeping up to 6 they have 2 bedrooms, a shower room, fully fitted kitchen and spacious open plan living/dining area, featuring a log burner 32” Smart TV and wifi.
