I stayed at Compton Farm with my two children who were then aged, 3 and 5. It’s a very simple site, just a big field really. We had masses of room to ourselves as we slotted on after the marked pitches. We went to sleep with the cows mooing and the sheep baaing. The best holiday I have had. the site is very basic, just two toilets and showers, not modern, but that’s why we loved it. We never had an issue or a queue for them. We stayed in late august bank hol and when it hit the actual bank hol it filled up a bit but again quite empty compared to other sites. there is so much space! the kids loved being on their bikes and flying kites. It’s a very pretty site as well and with excellent access to the rest of the island, which i fully recommend to someone with young kids, it was a brilliant holiday. Don’t go if you like mod cons, but if you want a field and a tent and are happy to drive to the toilet if need be then go! we bought a little camping toilet for the kid and would use this more in future. Loved it though!
