Absolutely awful campsite, would never return here again! Upon arrival we were not greeted or told where to pitch our tent despite trying to get hold of the owners numerous times.. grass was uncared for and the ground terribly uneven. The bushes next to our tent seemed to have been used as a dumping ground as there was a variety of different crisp/chocolate bar packets that had been strewn there not to mention the fag butts dotted all around the place where we ended up having to pitch our tent. This was, however, probably due to the fact that there were no disposal facilities available. There was no noise curfew and so inconsiderate individuals were free to play extremely loud ‘music’ until the early hours of the morning which was distressing. The toilets were kept tolerably clean but there was definitely room for improvement.

Not once did we actually see the owners and when we called them at the end of our two night stay to arrange payment the owner asked if we could put the money through the letter box. When we explained that we would need change as we did not have the correct money the owner asked if we ‘really needed the change?’ basically asking us to give more than was due to save him the inconvenience of coming to meet us to take the payment (which was begrudgingly given by myself after the terrible experience of camping there). This I found unbelievably rude!
My advice would be to not camp here as the owners seem to see, (and treat) their customers as a necessary inconvenience.
