Upper Hurst Farm is just 2 miles from the picturesque village of Hartington by road or by footpath and offers first class facilities with an unrivalled panorama of almost 360 degree views over open countryside. This is English countryside at its best and is perfect for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists alike.

Upper Hurst Farm is a brand new, family-run site that openened in April 2012, it offers superb facilities comprising 24 generous super-pitches (11×11 metres) and a small camping area for tents with the option of electric hook-up.

Six of the super-pitches will be available all year round.

Facilities
On-site facilities include a luxurious, purpose-built toilet and shower block in traditional stone, which incorporates underfloor heating & thermostatically controlled hot water; there are 3 toilets and showers each for ladies and men, plus a disabled toilet and shower that doubles-up as a parent and child washroom. There is also a laundry and pot-washing room.

Free range eggs are available for sale from our chickens and camping gas is also available for sale.

The caravan and camping site is set in 30 acres of farmland at the southern end of the Peak District National Park with walks right from the site. Beresford Dale is only a mile away, which can be reached via footpaths or road, and takes you through some magnificent limestone scenery including Wolfscote Dale, Biggin Dale (a nature reserve), Milldale and Dovedale. Two very popular cycle routes are also very close to the caravan site, including the Manifold Valley Cycle Trail, (approximately 1 mile) and the Tissington Trail, which is about 3 miles from the site.

Upper Hurst Farm is less than 10 miles to the market towns of Buxton, Leek, Ashbourne, Matlock and Bakewell, which offer a wide range of retail facilities and leisure activities.

For those that wish to eat out the family-friendly Manifold Inn, is within walking distance, being less than a mile away; in Hartington there are a number of pubs and a high quality Hotel, The Charles Cotton, which also has electric bikes available to rent.

Upper Hurst Farm will be the perfect place for relaxing caravan and camping holidays.

Lovely spot with fantastic views all around, well placed for many activities in the southern peak district area. Facilities are quite basic but kept to a very high standard. Will certainly return in the future.
