We stayed in one of the beautiful cottages.not spotlessly clean but ok.unfortunately we got no sleep as our cottage was definitely haunted.oh yes taps going on their own ,toilets flushing, lights going on and off and beds moving while we were in them.help! Great fun .haha. The staff were lovely and the food from the tea room was fantastic.we cant wait to go again.
Went in a large group, we were allocated pitches in a large field, on arrival field full of sheep who soon vacated however they left what seemed to be like a years full of sheep poo decorating the field. As you can imagine with young kids clothes all used up in day 1, toilets were in a portocabin and were filthy, no toilet paper or soap. The main shower block was very basic, showers cold and washing up facilities you had to que for ages as 2 sinks for loads of tents. I would say this is the worst site I have stayed on. Following our return home I have been informed by a friend that there are health regulations re camping in a field where livestock have been, the field has to be free of livestock for at least 48 hours before camping this is due to bacteria in animal faeces. Would never return and would not recommend.
