Set in National Trust woodland, Kendal Caravan Club Site (formerly Low Park Wood) is so peaceful you’ll not want to leave. From the country lane approach running beside a tumbling river, to the glades where you can pitch amidst the wild flowers, this caravan park is a small slice of heaven. Some will be interested to know that Low Park Wood is on the site of a 19thC gunpowder mill.

Kendal Caravan Club Site (formerly Low Park Wood) lets you enjoy nature to the full, from the swoop of the fells to the luxurious blue of the lakes There are several scenic walks to be had and don’t forget to bring along your binoculars because the bird life is varied and colourful. If you’re a wild flower enthusiast you won’t be disappointed as you’ll see a range of marvellous blooms on display, not least wild orchids. For those who enjoy the sport of fishing, the caravan site also features a river that is popular amongst anglers (with a National River Licence). When you fancy a bite to eat, the nearby market town of Kendal is famous for its mint cake and trusted for its hearty meals.
