Wheal Rodney is a small holiday park with camping/touring pitches, self catering lodges, indoor swimming pool, site shop, laundry, wi-fi service, and is run by friendly staff who aim to ensure all guests enjoy their visit to this wonderful part of Cornwall. The site has a (Quiet after 10 p.m. policy) for the benefit of those who need a good nights sleep after the daytime exertions of being by the sea! The park has 30 camping and touring pitches and ten self catering lodges. The site holds the AA 3 Pennant Award for its cleanliness and facilities and has a very warm indoor swimming pool which is open throughout the year and is free of charge to guests.The site is surrounded by farmland on the edge of the town and is within easy walking distance of all facilities in Marazion.
The historic town of Marazion offers a selection of pubs, restaurants, galleries, shops, and a beautiful long sandy beach with safe swimming, Kayaking, Wind Surfing, Boating and Fishing. The nearest restaurant/pub is The Fire Engine Inn it is just five minutes walk along a country lane, and offers fantastic views over St. Michael’s Mount and the bay from its bar and beer garden.
Camping is available from March to October with electric hook up available if required. Spotlessly clean shower and toilet blocks are open 24 hours, with an un-ending supply of hot water from the new Rinnai hot water heating system which also gives powerful water pressure in the showers.
Ten comfortable and well-equipped self-catering lodges are open throughout the year…short breaks are available in low and mid season. Bed linen and towels are provided, alongside a daily cleaning service so you can really relax and enjoy your stay.
Convenient for bus routes, coastal footpath, cycle path, and is easily accessible from the railway station at Penzance. Wheal Rodney is a great base for those wishing to explore this wonderful area on foot or by car.
St. Ives, The Lizard, Lands End, The Minack Theatre, Many sub tropical gardens, The Isles Of Scilly and The Eden Project are just a few places that can be visited.
Wheal Rodney has no clubhouse on site but a good selection of pubs can be found within walking distance, where entertainment includes live bands and quiz nights.
There is a free service at reception for charging mobile phones/batteries etc. and a free ice pack service. A guests library and comprehensive tourist information is available on site.
Well behaved Doggies are welcome and are also permitted in some of our self catering lodges.
