With its heated open-air swimming pool (end May-mid Sep), tennis court, crazy golf and ball game area, there’s more than enough to keep the family happy at the Looe Caravan Club Site. Two pitching areas divided by conifers and flowering cherries, plus distant views of Looe Bay give the caravan park its attractive appeal.

The nearby town of Looe boasts many fine restaurants and places of interest – watch the catch come ashore at the working fishing harbour, take the children crabbing in the Hannafore Rock Pools or take in the marvellous view of Looe Island. For the walkers in the family, Looe Caravan Club Site provides easy access to the beautiful Cornwall Coastal Path, which runs right around the peninsula and across the border into Devon. From water fun to scenic views, the caravan site has options to keep the whole family happy.

Site is top notch, but my concern is very poor wi-fi reception, meaning we had to walk from the serviced pitches to the shed at the top of the site. The Wardens do a real good job most helpful all the times. Our concern is children at play. The play area is set at the very end of the serviced pitches, and we had no bother with the noise, we expected they play as they should. But, riding of cycles skateboards scoters of various kinds literally hurtling past with no thought for traffic which we thought acted very safely at all times, but we’re often put into quite dangerous situations, being overtaken on all sides by the above, in fact how there was not an accident we will never know. We had 2 near misses where two separate incidents occurred when the boy and girl ran into our A frame while we were having tea inside. Just fortunately no one was hurt and no damage done. How the Wardens can possibly maintain order from where they are we do not know. But what a responsibility for them. In nearly all the time we were there,we noticed a lot of the time, parents where not With their children, as the rules state, although we realise how difficult it is to police same. Bearing in mind the area we are thinking of is down quite steep hills, just the job for this kind of machine. The above will not stop us using the site again, and look forward to being with the Club again next year, and to say we have been members for 39 years, many thanks for your kind attention to our grave concerns.
