Welcome to Campsite Finder Online Shows, Events and Festivals page. We have one of the most comprehensive pages of shows, events and festivals.
So whilst holidaying in any given area why not see if there is a Show, Festival or Event that is worth a visit.
Some shows like the VW Shows, Caravan and Camping Shows may offer camping on site which can be useful. Please check though, if disabled, that there are facilities to accommodate your needs.
A handful of shows are held on campsites but the majority are at show grounds so although toilets are catered for not always are there washing facilities available. For a weekend this is bearable but for any longer this could prove tiresome.
If this is the case we have an endless supply of parks to choose from - try using the radius search to narrow down your closest caravan park or campsite to your Show, Festival or Event.
The music festivals like the V Festival and the Big Chill are great to visit for the younger generation but can also be fun if older please remember though that limited amenities are normally available at the music festivals and it can be rather cramped.
There are the jazz festivals like Jazz in the Park held in Bude that offer a great way of relaxing over a weekend. Many street festivals happen throughout the summer. Agreat one in Herefordshire is the Bromyard Gala held in July and in Newent the Newent Onion Fair held in September both are worth a visit.
There are some great shows to visit the VW Campervan shows like The Mighty Dubfest, Bus Type held at Oswestry at the beginning of the year and many more to choose from. They really are so much fun and being VW enthusiast ourselves we know these events are friendly and welcoming not just to VW owners but everyone alike.
An event is normally something happening in the area like Steam Extravaganza, Cotswold, Gloucestershire or on a particular campsite for the weekend
Please also check the Prize Draw page as we offer ticket prizes on a regular basis.
If there is a show, festival or event you know about that is not listed – it’s free to list so please add, it will be appreciated by our visitors. Click HERE to add an Event, Show or Festival
If you have tickets to sell or give away send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add to the website.
Join us for a weekend of stargazing on-site within the newest and largest Gold Tier Dark Skies park in Europe. Weekends include an introductory talk on the Fri night given by the Starmakers Stargazing Events astronomers, night sky observing with the help of the experts and their telescopes, all with free hot drinks and a log-burning stove available in our refuge. Large telescopes will still be on site for the Sat night and further talks given and/or workshops held.
We are holding 2 camps in 2018:
A weekend of exploring nebula, galaxies and star clusters or simply admiring the Milky Way. The moon rise/set times give us a dark sky to see deep space objects through the scopes. We plan either atelescope workshop on the Sat, early evening, or a 2nd talk given by a Kielder Observatory astronomer.
Our usual, now annual, Geminids Star Camp weekend – the meteor show peaks on the Fri night and once the moon has set at 11pm, the shooting stars (>100 per hour) should be spectacular, if the sky is cloudless! December can offer superbly clear stargazing. A Kielder Observatory astronomer will be invited to join in too on the Sat to give us a talk. Note that due to a half-moon until it sets late, you need to be prepared to stay up late for the best view of deep space objects and shooting stars.
Tickets required to participate per pitch: 1 nt, £9; 2 nts, £14.
Ticket price is on top of camping fees (approx. £20 per couple for hardstanding or grass pitch with electric)
Tickets bookable only via the Site and are limited to 25-28 pitches. Please phone the site (01434 220175) if you have any questions or would like to book. Note that the events are very popular with several regular attendees.
Please visit the Star Camp in Northumberland Gold Tier International Dark Skies Park website for more information.
