Information about Leicestershire

Some information about Leicestershire from Campsite Finder Online, your online guide to camping and caravanning.

There is so much to do in Leicestershire it’s difficult to know where to start! You could visit Leicester's Museum of Science & Technology which is located in the late 19th century Abbey Pumping Station. Discover beam steam engines, exhibitions, enjoy family friendly events and delve into 200 years of science and technology. You could follow this with a trip on a steam train along the Battlefield Line. Or see the planes of yesteryear at the Aeropark at East Midlands Airport.

Or if architecture and gardens are more your thing, why not visit the ruins of Ashby de la Zouch Castle, or Belvoir Castle, where children can experience lessons and play in Regency times!

And if you want the children to burn off that excess energy why not take the bikes to the National Forest where there are more than 700 miles of paths to explore and whether on foot or bicycle you can guarantee to find a route to suit your energy levels!
