Catgill is a family run farm that lies on the edge of Bolton Abbey village about ¾ of a mile from the famous Priory and the river Wharfe.
It is set in a stunning location on the Chatworth Estate with far reaching views across the Wharfe valley.
There is a modern shower block with hot showers and a dedicated family/disabled room in both male and female washrooms.
A separate pot washing facility is provided with sinks, 3 large fridges and a freezer, a kettle and a microwave.
Fire pits are available to hire on request.
Our new bespoke luxury Timber Glamping Pods and Bell Tents are set in a stunning location on the woodland edge with uninterrupted views of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside.
Our unique timber pods are fully equipped with everything you need for the perfect getaway.
They are the ultimate in luxury and have been creatively designed to ensure your Yorkshire Glamping experience is truly unforgettable.
Each pod is the same size and specification and can sleep up to 6 people, with each having their own unique woodland scheme.
The pods provide perfect year round accommodation.
They are fully insulated and have central heating for those chilly winter nights.
Each pod has a 32” smart Tv and is connected to the Internet.
If you love being under canvas and having all the comfort of a hotel room, then our bell tents are for you.
Designed with luxury in mind they have been uniquely furnished and accessorised.
Everything is provided for a super cosy stay, as each one has a handcrafted, king size, driftwood bed plus a small sink with fresh drinking water.
Each tent can sleep up to a family of 4, with futons for the kids.
The tent is equipped with a wood-burning stove for cooking and to keep it cosy throughout the night.
The 2 bell tents have a shared shower toilet pod with a sink for pot washing outside.
Both the timber pods and bell tents are well equipped for luxury outdoor living.
Each has a log-fuelled hot tub, 2 comfy chairs, a large picnic table and a fire pit with built in pizza oven.
A small coffee shop serves early morning hot drinks and croissants and there is a shop selling basic essentials.
The farm offers something for everyone; couples, families, walkers and cyclists; those who are looking for a relaxing break or those who are seeking fun and adventure.
The Dalesway footpath runs along the river and there are numerous local walks.
For cyclists there is plenty to explore or for those who like more of a challenge, it is very close to the Tour de Yorkshire route.
The site is only a stones throw from Hesketh Farm Park and within walking distance of Billy Bobs Diner and Ice cream factory.
Also nearby is the Embsay Bolton Abbey steam railway, where you will find everything from visits by Thomas the Tank engine to the Curry Express (serving delicious local curries).
The picturesque local towns and villages such as Skipton, Ilkley, Addingham, Burnsall and Grassington all boast numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants.
The Devonshire Arms is within walking distance, offering good food and local beers.
The campsite itself is part of a traditional Yorkshire farm and with a small stream meandering through the site, Catgill is a beautiful and peaceful setting in which to relax, the perfect place for a memorable stay in the Yorkshire Dales.
