Wild Boar Wood is one of The Secret Campsites, a collection of Real Camping and Wild Glamping sites focused on nature, peace and space.
The site has nine ‘wild glamping’ fully-equipped bell tents in a beautiful woodland in West Sussex. If you prefer to pitch your own tent you might like to try our Beech Estate Woodland Campsite (also listed on this site).
Our ‘easy camping’ bell tents are set among the trees in a beautiful campsite with open campfires. The site is located in a five-acre bluebell woodland in the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to Haywards Heath and within easy reach of London, Brighton, Lewes and the Ashdown Forest.
Wild Boar Wood Campsite offers an opportunity to camp side by side with nature, whilst enjoying the comfort of our tents, which have beds, cooking equipment, a fire pit and a grill for cooking on provided. It’s off-grid camping made easy!
We label stays in our fully-equipped bell tents as ‘wild glamping’. We have no hair dryers, phone chargers, power points, butler service, silk sheets or hot tubs. Instead, we provide a real camping experience made easy, with just about all the camping equipment you should need, all set-up and waiting for you in a lovely campsite in the woods.
We have permanent wardens who live onsite to assist our campers at all times. The campsite is ideal for families and small groups. Full campsite bookings are also available for special celebrations.
There are two ‘faraway’ tents which are offer a slightly more secluded option, tucked away from the main campsite, for couples and families wanting their own space. Couples may also enjoy the quieter mid-week or Sunday night stays. Please feel free to call or email for advice on dates.
We operate a small scale, quiet, relaxed and laid back campsite.
We don’t allow amplified music and have a low noise policy from 10 pm in the evenings.
Dogs are not allowed, to protect the native flora and fauna. We love having couples and small groups of adults to stay and can generally find them a quiet part of the campsite, but big groups of raucous adults should look else where to camp.
The peace and tranquility of this quiet campsite is interrupted only by the historic and spectacular Bluebell Railway locomotives, as they occasionally thunder past the edge of the woodland campsite!
