2adults2kids (August 27th, 2012)
We stayed here August 2012. It was ok, we were met on arrival and they were friendly. There's a travellers site next door and a lot of the caravans on this site seem to be lived in, not for holidays. There was a lot of noise from the travellers site - such as pneumatic drill at 7am on Saturday morning & dogs barking - there's opening in the fences so that people can come and go between the site & next door. It cost us £25 per night. Play area is a death trap. The slide is broken and if a child went down it would shred it's legs. There's an old broken down caravan that's in the play area for the kids to play in with lots of rusty sharp edges. The sand pit barely resembles a sand pit as it is full of nettles and thistles. The games room has lots of broken games in it. There are bikes for kids to borrow with broken brakes. There's a badminton net with rackets and shuttlescocks - this was good. The showers were ok but could do with resealing - all the sealant was brown. We just used it as a base to see Leeds Castle and other sites so it was fine. Our kids are 9 and 11 and had their own bikes so weren't bothered about the games room or play area anyway. There's hard standing for the caravans, and plenty of water points. All pitches had electric hook ups. Also plenty of room for tents. I think it was a bit expensive for what it was and would not go back.

Newly opened site, quiet and peaceful, not far from Leeds Castle, open 10 months March to December. £20/night for unit + 2 adults. Very warm welcome on arrival - owners couldn't be more helpful. Easy to access and all caravan/motorhome pitches on hard-standing, EHU included. Toilet/shower block brand new, spotlessly clean and heated. Ladies & Gents have 2 loos and 2 showers each. Possibly not enough during high season but we had no problems in October. Free use of washing machine and dryer. Games room, children's play area, spotless washing-up area, chemical loo disposal point. Only stayed one night as we were just "passing through" but would go back again. Didn't have time to explore local shops and pubs but eat-in/takeaway places are nearby.
