Nestled on a picturesque cliff top location with unspoilt views of the Norfolk coastline is one of Norfolk’s best kept secrets; Woodhill Holiday Park, located at East Runton.
The Park’s stunning setting on the North Norfolk coast, combined with the luxurious accommodation and environmentally friendly facilities, has made this Holiday Park a favourite amongst families and couples keen to explore the stunning natural Norfolk coast and countryside and the surrounding historic towns and villages.
There are four pitch types available. The Standard, Serviced and Fully Serviced remain and a new Serviced Premium Pitch with a 100 sq metre area has been introduced.
Whilst its cliff top position provides stunning views it can cause problems with planting and Woodhill has continued with its policy of introducing only indigenous species creating corridors that will enable wildlife to thrive alongside visitors to the Park. Corridors of holly, hazel and hawthorn planted around the Park are used to separate pitches which will give privacy to guests when established.
Respect for the environment has always been a key feature of Woodhill Park, which is host to an award-winning shower amenity building with solar panels and state-of-the-art heat recovery and storage system. The building is also equipped with a popular family bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, sink and baby changing unit, there are also three family shower rooms, all with toilets and sinks.
With their awareness of green technology and sustainability, it’s no surprise that Woodhill Park has retained its GOLD David Bellamy Conservation Award for the fourth consecutive year.
For those keen to get closer to nature, Seashell events are guaranteed to encourage the family to explore the surrounding natural environment. Seashell Events, which take place on Park during the main holiday periods can include rock pooling, junk modelling, fossil hunting, moth trapping and wildlife walks. Events will be led by an on Park expert, with equipment provided.
The shop and reception are well used with the busy reception providing guests with information on things to do in the local area and places of interest close by. The shop provides locally sourced produce and all the day to day essentials.
Outside there is fun for the family including a petanque court, tennis nets, football goalposts, crazy golf, play area, assault course and giant chess board!
The park is an ideal base from which to explore all of the natural and man-made attractions to be found in the beautiful and unspoilt county of Norfolk. And at the end of the day, you can return to the peaceful surroundings and comfort of Woodhill Park.
