The park itself covers some 2.5 acres and with only 45 pitches, all with magnificent countryside views, it gives the feeling of space and peacefulness, both grass and hardstanding pitches are available.New for 2014 All Weather Pitches. This park is a bird watchers paradise, with over 20 species seen by one camper in a 24 hour period - so bring your binoculars!!
The recently re-furbished amenity block offers free hot showers, together with a separate laundry room, having both washing up sinks, washing machine and tumble dryer. A chemical disposal point is adjacent to the toilet block.
Rallies and groups welcome - please contact for details.
We are open all year, and welcome caravans, tents and motor homes, but sorry no American style RV's or converted coaches.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times, a small rough area has been left for that first thing in the morning, and last thing at night excursion!, but please clear up!!

Simply the Best!
I have never been one to post comments on websites coming from the hospitality industry you have a tendency to not always like what people say, but as soon as we arrived at the Acorn Farm Touring Park, I wanted to tell everybody just how nice this place is. My husband and I picked the site from a website. We got the contact information for the site and called to make a booking well this was 2 weeks prior to us wanting to stay, at which point we had not even got a caravan, I explained this to Alan on the phone and he said it was not a problem, he did not want a deposit and said if we had to cancel it would not be a problem just give him a call and let him know, he was so nice.
We got a caravan it was all packed and ready to go on the Saturday morning it took us 7 hours to get there traffic on the M5 was a pain, but it did not matter we were on holiday. I called Alan to let him know we were on our way but running late and he said not a problem. Alan then called me back to give me directions as we had the caravan and if you follow satnav it can take you down some roads that are not good with a caravan.
We arrived at last they say first impressions count well itís true the village of Dalton is beautiful and the Park was quiet and peaceful just what we needed. Alan came straight out to us with a lovely welcome, he was chatty, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
I as a child spent a lot of time camping with my family but I donít ever remember the facilities on any of the places we went to being nice, the facilities on the Acorn Farm are fantastic clean, new , well-appointed and as much hot water as you could ever need, with a power shower to die for.
On our first night we went to the local pub for dinner which was at the entrance to the park, they do a filled loaf, it is out of this world I have been in the industry for best part of 30 years and have never had food like it, it was fantastic, we ate there 3 nights and had it all 3 times. The locals are all friendly and helpful the shop has pretty much everything you could need.
The best holiday I have had in a long time.

Last week we visited Acorn Farm for the first time and were welcomed by stunning scenery, a spotlessly presented site and of course, Maz and Alanís warm hospitality. The site has views over the Torridge valley and is comprised of a mixture of tent and touring pitches. We had our pick of a large expanse of lawn area of the site which catches the evening sun quite nicely. The toilet, shower and washing facilities were located in a block not far at all from our pitch and were very well-provisioned and well-kept, not to mention recently refurbished. There is a pub just by the entrance to the site (one of three in the beautiful village of Dolton) and a well-stocked general store is also located very nearby. Alan and Maz were extremely friendly and helpful when required. That area of Devon is one of the more hidden corners of The West Country and provides everything for the outdoor enthusiast be it cycling, walking, watersports and motorcylcing to name a few. We had a fantastic weekend and we look forward to returning to Acorn Farm next month!
