I and my husband stayed at the park in November, it is a nice place, lovely scenery but, there was no heating in the toilet/showers, see the lady who was looking after the place and mentioned about no heating, this was the Monday morning when we was leaving, needless to say, was not able to have showers as was too cold that weekend

I am the owner of Lakeside Caravan Park, I would just like to say to Coleen who visited my site on 24th Sept 2012 that due to my warden being taken ill with a bad heart him and his wife had to leave unexpectidly, I have no 16 year olds pulling car, vans out but yes a friend on site kindly offered to help me, the toilets are cleaned several times of day, why didnt Coleen report to the office if there was a problem, the drive way was due to the bad weather conditions we had all year, if people have a problem please tell me

Used to be a good site, The are no wardens. It is now very badly managed with campers helping to do the work. The site has got bigger but there is still only 3 ladies toilts, they are only cleaned once a day, not very nice by lunch time. the grass is very long, the entrance lane is riddled with very big pot holes. there was a very young girl of about 16 towing vans in and out of the storage field, one camper was collecting fishing money. Very bad atmosphere we were very dissapointed

we've been going to lakeside for the past 10 yrs a lovely clean site & everyone is so friendly. beryl & john are very helpful & make u so welcome could'nt wish for better wardens. we've never had no problems down there & its nice to get away & have a quiet & relaxed break. its the only place we go to when we go away as we always have a lovely time.

Visited this campsite in July for a weekend and I can't find anything bad to say about it. It is very tidy, wel-looked after and so friendly by other camper and the staff. All amenities very clean. The lakes for fishing are excellent. This site is for the keen fisherman as many lakes at 6 a day. There is also a golf-course. Play area for kids which includes, trampoline, climbing frames, swings, and many more. It is lovely just to walk around this very large site and everyone will speak to you. The pitches are very spaced out so lots of room around your pitch. Many people stay for the season. You can leave your caravan for 5 a week if you want to go back. There is a chip van which visits every friday night and the food is excellent. There is no shop for amenities but the site seels everything you will want to fish from bait to fishing rods. There is a social room to sit and relax or even watch TV and a pool table. There is no club-house but the small town is very close. There is Morrisons, Tesco and Iceland to do all your food shopping. There is a windmill to visit just outside the park which serves food and drink and can go round the windmill. The area to drive round is very pleasant. The toiwn is very small and the shops are not open on a sunday except for the supermarkets. The site is very peaceful but very busy. I would definately visit this site again and again. Thankyou Beryl for a lovely stay as didn't want to come home.
