Details

Stroud Hill Park is a privately owned, exclusively adult, touring caravan site in Pidley, Cambridgeshire. ( No children under 16 please)

The quiet, attractive, rural site provides a central Cambridgeshire location for touring caravans and campers. The site has been awarded AA Campsite of the Year and Overall Winner 2008 along with other accolades including 5 stars by the Loo of the Year scheme.

CAMPING AND TOURING:

There are 60 pitches (44 hard standing and 16 grass pitches), all with electric hook up, drinking water and an individual ground level drain to accept grey water.

At the heart of the site is a green oak timber-framed building which houses reception, a shop, café, bar and restaurant along with the excellent toilets and showers. The site is built to accommodate the disabled.

RESTAURANT:

The 42 seater à la carte, award winning Barn Restaurant is located within the impressive facilities building at the heart of Stroud Hill Park.

CAFE:

There is also a café on site serving tea, coffee and a selection of homemade cakes throughout the day from 9am to 4pm.

THE BAR:

The bar is open from 11am to 3pm everyday and again from 6.30pm to 11pm Wednesday through to Saturday evenings.

FISHING:

We have a 3 acre course fishing lake on site. The lake contains large specimen Carp (up to 20lbs) plus Rudd, Roach, Tench and Bream.

Day tickets cost £5 and must be purchased from reception prior to fishing.

PLACES TO VISIT:

There are many National Trust properties (eg. Wimpole Hall, Houghton Mill, Peckover House and Anglesey Abbey) within a short distance of the site along with numerous other heritage houses and gardens welcoming visitors. Huntingdonshire has a wealth of history, which is brought to life in local museums along with historical links with famous people including Samuel Pepys and Oliver Cromwell.

Huntingdonshire also offers a landscape of ancient churches and lovely villages in pretty rural scenery of water meadows, river valleys and riverside parks. There are miles of public footpaths and bridleways criss-crossing through open countryside linking parks and nature reserves to charming market towns and villages. Cyclists too are well catered for as the area is easily explored with a few gentle hills and many quiet lanes and cycleways.
The pretty riverside market town of St Ives is just 15 minutes away from the site by car.
