Highfield Farm Touring Park is set in attractive undulating countryside, and there are many quiet villages nearby for you to explore. The area abounds with just about every possible attraction, from ancient buildings to wildlife parks.

Proprietor Loraine Chapman together with daughter Beverley and her husband Kevin, extend a warm greeting to you from their quiet and beautiful touring park, which is located just five miles west of the city of Cambridge.

There are also many activities nearby, golf, fishing, horse riding and punting, to name but a few.
Perhaps you fancy a day at the races in nearby Newmarket?
For those who love to shop, there is the vibrant city of Cambridge. Here you can wander the many historical streets and lanes, where you will find all types of shops and stores.
Stroll alongside the banks of the River Cam, have lunch on the terrace of a riverside pub, or picnic in one of the many parks.

The Madingley Park and Ride service into Cambridge is only a short drive from Highfield.
For motor caravans there is the Trumpington Park and Ride service that has parking facilities especially for motor caravans. The Trumpington Park and Ride is easy to find, and is clearly sign posted from Junction 11 of the M11 motorway.
Park and Ride buses run until 20.00 hrs.
We understand you will need to stop at the barrier and ring them, someone will then come and let you in.

You will really appreciate how easy it is to find Highfield Farm, particularly if you are towing.
There are no narrow, winding, country lanes to negotiate as all the roads leading to Highfield are at least two lane and are clearly sign posted.
Our preferred route is to use the M11, as Highfield Farm is not far from Junction 12 (but not too close to be concerned about the Motorway noise!)
From the M11 leave at Junction 12 take A603 (Sandy) for half a mile then right on B1046 to Comberton.

From the A428 leave at Hardwick roundabout and follow the Caravan and Camping signs to Comberton.

From Cambridge leave by the A1303/A428 (Bedford) and after three miles (just past the American Cemetery) turn left at the roundabout and follow the International Caravan and Camping signs to Comberton.

If you are travelling from the port of Harwich, probably the best route to take is the A120, A12, back to the A120, then join the M11 at Junction 8. The distance from Harwich to Highfield Farm is about 78 miles using this route, and is normally about one-and-three-quarter hours driving time.

I went to Highfields 30 years ago with a trailer tent and my boyfriend and loved the place. We went with a caravan and two small children, and it was excellent. A whole lifetime later I re-visited with my partner and our dog. The quality and friendly reception are still first rate. The amenities are spotless and well managed. I understand the same family still run Highfields which might explain why the standard has been maintained. I would recommend the site for any type of campling, and any type of visitor. The location is ideal for local touring or trips into Cambridge.
