Upper Booth Campsite and camping barn make an ideal base for walkers to explore the hills and moors of the High Peak. Indeed the Pennine Way actually passes through the Upper Booth Farmyard.

I have stayed at upper booth many times. It is worth noting that the map location is incorrect. Swap Highfields farm location for upper Booth and that's where it is.

The site consists of two fields accepting tents only. The top field is the largest with some good pitches around the edges. This slopes down to the bottom field, (no vehicles allowed on here) which is smaller but also has excellent pitches. Between the two is situated the new shower block constructed through 2011.

Upon arrival knock on the green door at the rear of the farmhouse. Sarah or Robbert Helliwell will take your booking. This is a remote campsite ideal for walkers with direct access to Kinder Scout and the Pennine way. Nearest facilities ie shop, cafe, pub, rail station is around 3 miles away at Edale. A very pleasant walk across the fields.

This is a very quiet site, non smoking policy and numbers of campers are kept down. It is worth noting for those who have cars with low suspension that the entrance is very rough and uneven.

During the summer weekends, ice cream is available from the barn and drinks cakes etc from the house by the entrance. Sarah also provides breakfast sandwiches and pre-booked campers hampers are also available.
